I always wondered if parallel lines stay parallel all the way until infinity. In this case here, as parellel as these lines can get, because our Earth is round, in our eyes, the lines will meet at one end. This is caused by one point perspective! So no matter how perfectly aligned these lines are, it will always look bent to us.
