#22 Tony Fadell: The First Secret of Design
The main reason why art in general gets boring, or mild, or just not creative because people start getting accustomed to ideas, designs, etc. Getting used to things isn't a bad thing as they make our lives easier but it isn't a good thing because we wouldn't do things any other way other and the easiest solution. To me, that is the reason why almost everyone lives on a routined life, because it's easier.
However, the easiest most obvious solutions aren't the best ones. If everyone thinks the same way, it wouldn't be special. To come up with a brilliant idea or something special and out of this world, it has to be different. We have to look beyond the obvious, notice things that people don't notice and in detail. That's when we come up with something no one else has.
I have to agree that thinking young does bring you fresh ideas. It's just that the ideas or questions that you thought of could be too bizarre and people wouldn't generally accept it because they don't have the answer to it, or they because they haven't thought of it or came across it hence they reject it. I think that it's good to come up with ideas or questions that seems impossible to achieve because knowing us people as intelligent beings, we can actually make things happen.
