Dogs have fluffy fur which gives them a soft outlook but this art of a dog made in rattan if I'm not mistaken gave this poor 'sad' dog a completely different sort of impression. Fluffyness is tied to a happy and warm feeling, and cold and hard appearances are tied to sorrow. Expression well expressed.
